Waverly man wanted for Missouri cattle theft

A warrant has been issued for a Waverly man in connection with a Missouri cattle theft.

The sheriff in Bollinger County, MO says 28-year-old Bernard “J.R.” Willett faces five counts of felony theft.

Officials say Willett and two other men, including 18-year-old Shawntae Green from Evansville took ten head of cattle a little more than two weeks ago and sold them at an Owensboro auction the next day.

Accused Henderson bank robber now charged with Poole hold ups in '06, '10

Kentucky State Police filed charges against a Henderson man Friday in connection with two bank robberies in Webster County that happened four years apart.

KSP Detective Lonnie Kavanuagh charged James A. Morris, 53,  with two counts of Robbery 1st Degree (Class B Felony).

The charges stem from two bank robberies in the Post 2 District.  One occurred on August 11, 2006 at the Integra Bank Branch in Poole, KY (Webster County) and the other occurred on July 23, 2010 at the same bank.

Cold case:  Murder victim found in 1971 still unidentified

It’s been more than 40 years, but Kentucky State Police are still hoping they can solve the murder of a still unidentified man whose body was found in the Ohio River.

On August 14, 1971, the badly decomposed body of a white male was discovered in the Ohio River about five miles south of DeKoven in Union County.  The body had apparently been in the river for several weeks or more. As of this date body still has not been identified.

Suspect sought in Clay Drug Store burglary

Authorities are looking for a man who is suspected of stealing a significant amount of money from the Clay Drug Store.

Store owners say he can be seen on surveillance video breaking into the store and walking outside around 4 a.m. Monday.

A reward is being offered for an arrest in the case.

KSP detectives still hunt for leads in Heather Teague case

Sunday marks the 17th anniversary of the kidnapping of Heather Teague.  She was last seen on August 26, 1995 at Newburgh Beach in Henderson County.

A witness looking through a telescope across the shore observed the 23-year-old Webster County woman being kidnapped.

Several KSP detectives say they have worked diligently on this case and have exhausted many leads; however, KSP says it is still committed to providing answers for the Teague family.

Morganfield residents facing drug charges

Three Morganfield residents are facing drug charges after being arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday.

While on routine patrol in Henderson, a commercial vehicle enforcement officer with Kentucky State Police stopped a 1981 Buick with an obstructed windshield.

KSP says an investigation led to the arrest of 24-year-old Holly Howard, 37-year-old James Fletcher and 30-year-old Mary M. Bell.  The three were taken to the Henderson County Detention Center and are facing these charges:

Morganfield Police investigating burglaries

Police in Morganfield are investigating a series of break-ins including one that happened last week.

WMSK Radio reports that the thieves broke through a back door while the homeowner was away and stole golf clubs, a computer and an undetermined amount of money.

Several cars have been burglarized in the Southgate Drive area in recent weeks.
