The Lions Club began hosting the Corn Festival in the mid-1980’s replacing the Morganfield Jaycees. The Jaycees introduced the Corn Festival in October, 1974 and it was moved to September the following year. The Lions were asked to take over the Festival after the Jaycees’ membership dwindled.
