Union County man dies from burns in farm accident | News

A 63-year-old Union County man died from burns suffered in an accident Monday according to WMSK Radio in Morganfield.

According to the radio station, Gene Shouse, 63, was hurt around noon at the Baird farm on Highway 130 while trees and an old barn were being burned.

WMSK reports that Shouse was flown to the Louisville Burn Center where he later died.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday at First Baptist Church in Morganfield. Rev. Steve Thompson and Rev. Jim Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and 9 AM until service time Thursday at the church.
