MES Beta Club performing 26 acts of kindness to remember Sandy Hook victims | Schools

The Morganfield Elementary Junior Beta Club is performing 26 acts of kindness in memory of the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary.  Acts performed already: 

1.   Water bottles for the MES teachers.  "You satisfy our thirst for knowledge."

2.   Extra gum for the Instructional Assistants.  "You go the EXTRA mile."

3.   Tootsie Rolls for the Bus Drivers.  "Bus Drivers are the driving force in education."

4.   Extra gum for the nurses. "You are EXTRA special."

5.   Cupcakes for the cooks and custodians. "You take the cake at MES."

6.   Ink pens for the secretaries. "You are just WRITE for MES."

7.   Starburst for our superintendent, principal, SAM, curriculum specialist, and counselor.  "You are a STAR at MES."

 Some other activities we have planned for the school year:

• Goody bags for kids in foster care
• Nursing home trip
• Be bus greeters
• Donate clothes to APPLES resource center
• Canned food drive
• Writing letters to teachers who have touched our lives
• Recognizing APPLES staff

The final event of the "Acts of Kindness" will be to plant 26 flowers in memory of those students from Sandy Hook.
