Union Co. 2nd at state wrestling meet | Sports & Recreation

The Union County Braves wrestling team wrapped up another outstanding season on Saturday with a second place finish at the KHSAA state meet in Lexington.

Union County scored 176 points, trailing only Campbell County which finished with 196.

At 113 pounds, Trae Blackwell won first place by beating five opponents. Brock Ervin at 126 and Jayce Carr at 132 also took home first place honors with perfect records during the two-day meet.

Robb Dezember at 106 and Reshawd Wilkins at 220 finished third in their weight class.
